Walkthrough overview

A brief summary of the quest, noting where each card is used. The OSRS Wiki has the full, authoritative walkthrough.

  1. 1

Speak to King Narnode Shareen in the Grand Tree; he shows you the dying roots and gives you a translation book and bark sample to take to Hazelmere, east of Yanille.

  2. 2

Return the translated message to the king, then confront Glough in his treehouse and speak to Charlie the prisoner on the top floor, who points you to Glough's house — search the cupboard for his journal.

  3. 3

Take a gliding trip to Karamja, avoid the jogres, give the Shipyard worker the password Ka-Lu-Min, and get a lumber order from the foreman.

  4. 4

Get Glough's chest key from Anita, open his chest to find the invasion plans, then descend the trapdoor and defeat (or safespot) the level 172 black demon.

  5. 5

Report to King Shareen, search the roots for the last Daconia rock, and finish the quest. (If you skipped helping Femi earlier, pay him 1,000 coins at the gate.)
