OSRS TCG attribution and licensing

Material derived from OSRS TCG

During a temporary migration period, OSRS Card Exchange displays legacy compatibility information obtained from or calculated using material made available in the public OSRS TCG repository. This includes:

• the selection of items and monsters included in the OSRS TCG card catalogue;
• OSRS TCG rarity classifications;
• OSRS TCG card scores and rarity thresholds;
• OSRS TCG pack-tier probabilities;
• OSRS TCG-specific catalogue categories, where applicable; and
• references necessary to provide compatibility with the OSRS TCG plugin.

OSRS Card Exchange does not claim to have independently created those legacy OSRS TCG-specific fields. References to OSRS TCG on this site identify the upstream project and compatibility with it, and do not indicate affiliation or endorsement.

Field-level provenance

Each field below originates from, or was calculated using, the referenced OSRS TCG repository snapshot (source: OSRS TCG; licence: BSD 2-Clause; upstream commit as above; status: legacy compatibility data).

Card inclusion

Whether an Old School RuneScape item or monster was selected for inclusion in the OSRS TCG card catalogue. lib/tcg/data/cards.json is a copy of the snapshot's Card.json (6,376 cards), and the Card database seed derives from it.

Rarity classification

The OSRS TCG rarity tier shown for every card, including tier labels, colours and per-tier pack pull chances, ported in lib/tcg/rarity.ts from the plugin's RarityMath.

Card scores and rarity thresholds

The OSRS TCG card score (item value, or monster level squared times 1.5) and the percentile thresholds that band scores into tiers, ported in lib/tcg/rarity.ts.

Pack-tier probabilities and pack facts

The per-tier pack pull probabilities and the pack facts (5 cards per pack, 2,500 credits, 1% default foil chance), read from the plugin's PackOpeningService, Packs.json and RewardTuningState.

Catalogue categories

The OSRS TCG-specific category tags each card carries, including the primary category used to group cards for rarity ranking.

Migration

The OSRS TCG-derived dataset has been frozen as a legacy compatibility snapshot. There is no automatic import from the upstream repository.

OSRS Card Exchange is developing an independently selected catalogue, independent classification rules and an independent rarity system. Legacy fields will be removed from primary use or clearly retained as historical compatibility information when that migration is completed.
