    One needle spawns in Pellem's Fur Store nearby; a costume needle also works.

    Used: Repairing Kiko's bed when finishing up.

  • Any hammerany one

    A hammer is obtainable during the quest; the Imcando hammer also works.

    Used: Repairing the injured fox's belongings during Fox Tracking.

  • Jerboa tail or box trapany one

    Two jerboa tails are needed to bind the poultice; both are obtainable during the quest, or bring a box trap (buyable at Imia's Supplies) to catch embertailed jerboas for the tails.

Walkthrough overview

    Travel to Civitas illa Fortis and speak to Guildmaster Apatura in the Hunter Guild, who directs you to Guild Scribe Verity in the underground Burrow pub.

    Verity introduces the rumours system and asks you to check on Fox, who left the guild and has not returned.

  3. 3

    Find Fox lying injured at the Avium Savannah mining site south-east of the guild; he needs a poultice made from two plants bound with a jerboa tail.

  4. 4

    Pick a smooth leaf and a sticky leaf from the nearby bushes, and gather two jerboa tails (catch embertailed jerboas with a box trap if you don't have them), then repair his gear with a hammer.

    Return to the Burrow, deliver Fox's report to Verity, repair Kiko's bed with a needle, then speak to Guildmaster Apatura to finish the quest.
