Long ago, before the vampyres were united as one, they lived in disparate clans in their ancestral home of Vampyrium. For the Drakan clan, strength ruled above all else. Clan leaders were selected during a brutal festival of combat known as the Night of the Blood Moon. Along with leadership of the clan, the victor of this festival was granted a title: they became known as the Blood Moon. Now, thousands of years later, Lord Lowerniel Drakan, the last Blood Moon has returned. He has but one goal: to return his people to the old ways and reclaim his former title, even if he has to sacrifice every life in Morytania to do it. For Drakan, this is the endgame. Failure is not an option and he does not intend to let anyone stand in his way. No matter what, the Blood Moon will rise once more.

Speak to Sarius Guile at the Icyene Graveyard. Collect free vyre noble clothing from the chest in the Myreque Hideout under Old Man Ral's house, and bring a blisterwood flail (or 40,000 coins to buy one) plus melee gear.

Disguised in the vyre clothing, attend Drakan's gathering outside Castle Drakan ('The crowd goes wild') to learn of his plan to return the vampyres to Vampyrium.

Form a plan with the Myreque: travel to Slepe, then to Drezel's temple basement ('Legacy of Seergaze'), gathering leads on how to reach Vampyrium.

Inside job: mine through the blockage below Slepe with a pickaxe (Ivan gives a bronze one if needed), then fight through the vyrewatch and vyrewatch sentinels in the tunnels.

In Vampyrium, use the provided unlimited supplies to complete the clock and key puzzles (using a hammer, knife and chisel), destroy the blood stockpile, and escape into the Blood Hunt.

Fight Drakan in the first and second encounters, cross the drawbridge in the ruined village, and reach Efaritay Hallow, who helps you upgrade your flail into the Hallowed flail.

Return to Gielinor and fight through the Theatre of Blood waves in 'Another Night at the Theatre', including The Maiden of Sugadinti and Nylocas Vasilias, then defeat the Wyrd (transformed Safalaan).

Defend against Drakan's siege (round three), then step through the portal and defeat Lowerniel Drakan in the final three-phase rooftop battle to complete the quest.
