Walkthrough overview

Talk to Wizard Persten north of the pool of water in Al Kharid. She shows you an eye amulet bearing the symbol of the Wizards' Tower and asks for your help.

Take the eye amulet to the Mage of Zamorak (Herbert) in south-eastern Varrock. Bring him a bucket of water and a strong cup of tea from the nearby Tea Seller to continue.

Return to Persten, then visit Archmage Sedridor and Wizard Traiborn at the Wizards' Tower, using the abyssal incantation on Sedridor.

Cast the incantation to open a portal into the sunken Saradominist temple. Explore it, speak to all the apprentices, then report to Persten.

Assist the Great Guardian in the Guardians of the Rift tutorial: place a weak cell to form a barrier, take a chisel to assemble rune guardians, and mine essence with a pickaxe as directed to close the rift and finish the quest.
