Walkthrough overview

A brief summary of the quest, noting where each card is used. The OSRS Wiki has the full, authoritative walkthrough.

  1. 1

In the south-western house of Mort'ton, search the shelf for a book and the smashed table for two tarromin. Fill vials at the sink in the easternmost building if you didn't bring vials of water.

  2. 2

Read the book, then make Serum 207: use a tarromin on a vial of water and then ashes on the unfinished potion.

    • Ashes
  3. 3

Use a serum on Razmire in the general store. He asks you to kill five Loar Shades and collect their remains.

  4. 4

Kill the five level-40 Loar Shades and gather their Loar remains, then report back.

  5. 5

Help rebuild the temple on the island north-east of the store (a short Shades minigame). A Flamtaer hammer, and bracelets, let you complete it solo.

    • Hammer
  6. 6

Use sacred oil on logs (cut a dead tree with an axe if you have none) to make pyre logs, place them on a funeral pyre with the Loar remains, and light it with a tinderbox.

    • Logs
    • Tinderbox
  7. 7

Collect your reward from the stone pillar and return to Ulsquire to finish the quest.
