Fishing Trawler
MembersOld School RuneScape minigame · OSRS TCG card mapping
Fishing Trawler is a five-minute Fishing minigame: help crew Murphy's boat by bailing water, patching nets and hammering shut leaks, and keep it from sinking before time runs out. Any Fishing level can play, but 15 Fishing is needed to actually receive a reward from the trawler net afterward.
Fishing Trawler is a members Old School RuneScape minigame needing Fishing 15, found at Port Khazard. This page maps Fishing Trawler to the OSRS TCG — the card game played through the RuneLite plugin — listing what you take in, grouped by what each item is for, with every item linked to its card. What to bring — nothing you can't find aboard
There's no bring-item that locks you out: everything the jobs below need — an axe, a hammer, swamp paste, rope, a bailing bucket — is sold at the Khazard General Store and sits in crates on the ship's top deck. Arriving empty-handed costs you a shopping trip, not the game.
The jobs that keep the boat afloat
Several things need doing during the five minutes, and doing any of them keeps you contributing: bail rising water, patch torn nets, tie down flapping ropes, and hammer shut leaks. None is individually mandatory — you just need to be doing something — but each job has its own tool.
- OptionalA bailing bucket
Empties water from the hold — the direct answer to the boat taking on water.
- OptionalSwamp paste
Patches a leak alongside the hammer.
- OptionalA rope
Secures a torn or flapping net.
- OptionalA hammer
Nails a leak shut, and doubles up on some net repairs.
- OptionalAn axe
Chops through a snagged net blocking a job. A bronze axe from the crates is enough — there's no level requirement here.
The kraken
Occasionally a kraken's tentacle grabs the boat instead of a normal leak, slowing the trawl until it's fought off. It's an event you react to, not a monster you go looking for.
- OptionalKraken
Attacks the ship itself rather than a player; deal with it like any other job that's popped up.
What the net pays out
Clear 50 contribution points and the trawler net on the dock hands you fish scaled to your Fishing level, plus a 1-in-12 chance at a piece of the angler's outfit and a rare shot at the Heron pet. These are the catch and reward cards from that net.

Each piece comes separately at 1-in-12 odds per haul; wearing the full set gives a small Fishing experience boost.
- OptionalThe Heron pet
A rare skilling pet, its drop chance doubled by a full contribution meter.

Fishing Trawler — frequently asked
- What is the minimum you need for Fishing Trawler?
- No specific items — just Fishing 15. There's no bring-item that locks you out: everything the jobs below need — an axe, a hammer, swamp paste, rope, a bailing bucket — is sold at the Khazard General Store and sits in crates on the ship's top deck. Arriving empty-handed costs you a shopping trip, not the game.
- What level do you need for Fishing Trawler?
- Fishing 15. Playable at any level, but you get nothing from the trawler net without it — this is a reward gate, not an entry gate. It is members-only.
- Which OSRS TCG cards are tied to Fishing Trawler?
- Every item on this page that exists in the catalogue is linked to its card, grouped by what it is for. Cards are pulled from packs in the OSRS TCG RuneLite plugin, and you can trade for the ones you are missing on OSRS Card Exchange.
- Is there an OSRS TCG card for Fishing Trawler itself?
- No. The OSRS TCG has cards for Old School RuneScape's items and monsters, not for its minigames — so there is no "Fishing Trawler" card. What this page maps is the other way round: the items Fishing Trawler asks you to bring, each one linked to the card that depicts it.
