    Obtainable during the quest from the well near Brother Cedric. A jug of water works too; alternatively ice gloves or smiths gloves (i) can be worn to grab the cog, but those have no catalogue card.

    Used: Poured on the fire-surrounded black cog to cool it so it can be picked up.

Walkthrough overview

    Talk to Brother Kojo at the Clock Tower south-west of the Ardougne Zoo; you must retrieve four coloured cogs one at a time and fit each on its spindle.

    Fetch the blue cog from the rat cell reached via the ladder near the zoo, then place it on the blue spindle.

  3. 3

    In the dungeon, cool the fire-surrounded black cog with a bucket of water (or ice gloves), pick it up and fit it.

    Take the red cog from the ogres' south-eastern passage and place it on the red spindle.

    Poison the dungeon rats' food trough to open the western gate, grab the white cog, and fit it.

    With all four cogs placed, return to Brother Kojo for your reward and complete the quest.
