Temple Trekking
MembersOld School RuneScape minigame · OSRS TCG card mapping
An escort minigame: guide a follower through the Morytania swamp, defending them through combat and puzzle events along the way. Burgh de Rott Ramble is the same run in reverse, escorting mercenaries back the other way once Darkness of Hallowvale is done.
Temple Trekking is a members Old School RuneScape minigame needing Combat, Woodcutting, Firemaking and Cooking, found at Between Paterdomus, on the River Salve, and Burgh de Rott in Morytania. The short version: an axe and a knife. This page maps Temple Trekking to the OSRS TCG — the card game played through the RuneLite plugin — listing what you take in, grouped by what each item is for, with every item linked to its card. The OSRS Wiki remains the guide to playing it.

- RequiresCombatNo level gate, but combat events on the shorter routes are unavoidable — vampyres and ghasts have to be fought through.
- RequiresWoodcuttingUsed in the puzzle event where a dead tree has to be chopped for logs.
- RequiresFiremakingUsed to light a fire and cook food during puzzle events.
- RequiresCookingUsed to cook snail meat or fish to feed starving adventurers during puzzle events.
- RequiresIn Aid of the MyrequeMust be completed to start Temple Trekking at all.
What you need to start
Puzzle events can turn up during any trek, and an axe and a knife are what solve them. Both can also be picked up during the events themselves, so arriving without them costs time rather than blocking you outright.
- RequiresAn axe
Chops the dead tree in the feeding puzzle event for logs and a fire. A bronze axe is findable at the event itself.
- RequiresA knife
Used across puzzle events; also findable at them.
Silver weapons for the shorter routes
The longest route lets you evade every combat event, but the shorter, faster routes force fights with vampyres and ghasts — and Vampyre Juvinates can only be hurt by silver weaponry unless you're wearing an Efaritay's aid.
- Any ofSomething silver(optional)
Needed to damage Vampyre Juvinates on the shorter routes, unless you have an Efaritay's aid.
- OptionalEfaritay's aid
Strongly recommended — it removes the silver-weapon requirement against Juvinates entirely.
Feeding your follower
A follower's pack holds 15 food items and carries over between treks, so it's worth filling before you set out. Almost any food works.
- Any ofFood for the follower's pack(optional)
A representative few of the roughly 15 food types that work — fill the pack with whatever you have spare.
The monsters you'll meet
Combat events throw a set number of monsters at you and the follower, scaled by which follower you chose and which route you took. None is a specific required kill — you fight whatever the event brings.

Temple Trekking — frequently asked
- What is the minimum you need for Temple Trekking?
- An axe and A knife, plus Combat, Woodcutting, Firemaking and Cooking. Puzzle events can turn up during any trek, and an axe and a knife are what solve them. Both can also be picked up during the events themselves, so arriving without them costs time rather than blocking you outright.
- Do you need a quest for Temple Trekking?
- In Aid of the Myreque is required. Must be completed to start Temple Trekking at all. It is members-only.
- Which OSRS TCG cards are tied to Temple Trekking?
- Every item on this page that exists in the catalogue is linked to its card, grouped by what it is for. Cards are pulled from packs in the OSRS TCG RuneLite plugin, and you can trade for the ones you are missing on OSRS Card Exchange.
- Is there an OSRS TCG card for Temple Trekking itself?
- No. The OSRS TCG has cards for Old School RuneScape's items and monsters, not for its minigames — so there is no "Temple Trekking" card. What this page maps is the other way round: the items Temple Trekking asks you to bring, each one linked to the card that depicts it.
