Pest Control
MembersOld School RuneScape minigame · OSRS TCG card mapping
A co-op combat minigame: five to twenty-five players defend a Void Knight from waves of pests pouring out of four portals. You win by destroying all four portals — or by keeping the Knight alive for the full twenty minutes — and are paid in commendation points to spend on Void Knight equipment.
Pest Control is a members Old School RuneScape minigame needing Combat 40, found at The Void Knights' Outpost, an island reached by boat from Port Sarim. This page maps Pest Control to the OSRS TCG — the card game played through the RuneLite plugin — listing what you take in, grouped by what each item is for, with every item linked to its card. The OSRS Wiki remains the guide to playing it.

- RequiresCombat 40The only gate, and it depends on the lander: combat 40 for Novice, 70 for Intermediate, 100 for Veteran.
What to bring — nothing, really
Pest Control is a safe activity: die and you keep everything, respawn on the lander, and rejoin at once. There is no item you have to bring — you take whatever combat gear suits your style, and that is a build question this page won't try to answer. Dwarf multicannons and Alchemy spells are switched off inside, so leave those at home.
Earning commendation points — stay active
Points are the whole reward, and you only get them by contributing: your activity bar has to stay above 0% for the whole game, or you leave with nothing however it ends. There are two ways to contribute, and either keeps the bar up — fighting, or repairing (below). A game is won by destroying all four portals (the usual route, often under two minutes) or defending the Knight for the full twenty, and both pay out. Every win also drops coins worth ten times your combat level, and points cap at 4,000, so spend them.
The combat role — the pests you'll fight
None of these are required — Pest Control asks for no specific kill — but if you take the fighting role, these are what you deal with. Each behaves differently: Spinners heal the portals and have to die first, Defilers and Torchers hit the Knight from range, Brawlers block the way. Every one is a card, so they are listed here as advisable to know rather than as things you must bring.
- OptionalSpinner
Heals the portals while alive — kill these first or the portals never fall.
- OptionalBrawler
A wall of a pest that blocks movement and pathing to the portals.
- OptionalDefiler
Ranged, and one of the main threats to the Void Knight from a distance.
- OptionalTorcher
Attacks the Void Knight with magic from range.
- OptionalShifter
Teleports past the players to reach the Void Knight directly.
- OptionalRavager
Attacks the barricades and gates rather than the Knight.
- OptionalSplatter
Explodes on death, damaging everything nearby — including the Void Knight.
The repair role — no fighting needed
You do not have to fight at all. Splatters and Ravagers smash the barricades and gates around the Void Knight, and repairing them keeps the bar up just as well as combat does — it grants a high activity boost plus a little Crafting experience, and is how a non-combat account stays eligible for points. All it takes is a hammer and some logs.
What your points buy
Commendation points are traded at the Void Knights for experience, resource packs, and — the reason most people are here — Void Knight equipment. These are the reward items that exist as cards.
- Any ofA Void combat helm(optional)
One helm per combat style — buy the one (or ones) matching how you fight.

Each bought separately with points, in any order — the top, robe and gloves are the core worn with a helm; the mace and seal are optional extras.
- Any ofElite upgrades(optional)
Upgrades of the regular top and robe, bought with more points plus the regular pieces.

- Is there an OSRS TCG card for Pest Control itself?
- No. The OSRS TCG has cards for Old School RuneScape's items and monsters, not for its minigames — so there is no "Pest Control" card. What this page maps is the other way round: the items Pest Control asks you to bring, each one linked to the card that depicts it.
