Before you can take part
- RequiresCombat 32The minimum combat level to enter the crater. Your target is picked from within 5 combat levels of you by default, adjustable to 10 or 15 at the Emblem Trader. Entry also needs at least 12 hours of total account playtime — an anti-bot gate, not a skill level.
Getting in — a coffer deposit
Entering the crater means putting a minimum deposit of coins into the Bounty Hunter coffer, scaled to your combat level. Die unskulled and you lose coins equal to that deposit; die skulled and you only lose 10,000 of it — everything else about what you carry is your own PvP build, which this page won't try to answer.

Food for the fight
Blighted food is the Wilderness-only version of ordinary food, sold specifically for PvP and Bounty Hunter fights. None of it is required — you can fight with anything — but it's what most target-hunters actually carry, since Wilderness restrictions block a few other forms of healing (phoenix necklaces, for one, simply don't activate inside the crater).

Every target kill pays Bounty Hunter points, spent at the Emblem Trader's store, and the emblem itself is the milestone item of the reward loop.
