    Give Sir Tiffy either 10,000 coins, or all three supplies together — a law rune, an enchanted gem (bought from a Slayer Master) and molten glass — to receive the Commorb.

    Used: Paying Sir Tiffy for the Communication orb (Commorb).

  • 20 unnoted rune or pure essenceany one

    All 20 must be delivered un-noted and at once; you get them back.

    Used: Given to the Mage of Zamorak and used at the final rune essence confrontation.

  • A light sourceany one

    Candles, torches and oil lamps can cause swamp-gas explosions if you go off-route and need a tinderbox to stay lit.

    Used: Lighting the swamp caves while chasing Solus.

Walkthrough overview

    Speak to Sir Tiffy Cashien in Falador Park, then Sir Amik Varze in the White Knights' Castle. Decline the squire offer and report back to Sir Tiffy until he tells you of the crisis.

    Pay Sir Tiffy 10,000 coins, or give him a law rune, enchanted gem and molten glass, to receive the Commorb. Contact Savant with it.

    Head to Taverley Dungeon, talk to Lord Daquarius, and kill a Black Knight to make him reveal a clue about Solus.

    Bring 20 unnoted rune or pure essence to the Mage of Zamorak (first in the Wilderness, then the Zamorakian chapel in Varrock) to progress.

    Travel to Canifis and use the Commorb's scan option. Chase Solus across Gielinor through seven scan locations, following the clue items he drops with a light source for the swamp caves.

    At the final rune essence location, deliver 20 essence, let Savant trap Solus, then kill him for his hat. Return it to Sir Amik Varze in Falador to complete the quest.
