Old School RuneScape minigame · OSRS TCG card mapping

A team minigame: two teams gather soul fragments dropped by wandering monsters and offer them at the Soul Obelisk to strip away their enemy Avatar's damage reduction, aiming to defeat the opposing Avatar more times than their own falls within a 15-minute game. Zeal Tokens earned at the end buy rewards from Nomad whether your team won or lost.

Soul Wars is a members Old School RuneScape minigame needing Combat 40, found at The Isle of Souls, reached through the Soul Wars portal at Edgeville or the Ferox Enclave dungeon. This page maps Soul Wars to the OSRS TCG — the card game played through the RuneLite plugin — listing what you take in, grouped by what each item is for, with every item linked to its card. The OSRS Wiki remains the guide to playing it.

Before you can take part

  • RequiresCombat 40Also needs a total level of 500, a gate the skills schema can't express on its own — both apply before you can join a team.

Getting into a game

Beyond the level gates, joining a team for the first time requires talking to Nomad and completing the Soul Wars tutorial once, on any world — you can't bring food, potions, capes or followers into it, and being poisoned, envenomed or diseased blocks you from starting. After that, what you fight with each game is your own combat build, same as any PvP-adjacent activity.

The enemy Avatar

Every game comes down to one of two bosses — the red team's Avatar of Destruction or the blue team's Avatar of Creation — each starting at 100% damage reduction that only drops as your team feeds fragments to the Soul Obelisk. Whichever team you join, the other side's Avatar is the one you're actually fighting.

What you gather during a game

Soul fragments are looted from the monsters wandering the minigame area and carried straight to the Soul Obelisk — you never bring these with you, they only exist inside a game.

  • OptionalSoul fragment

Dropped by the wandering monsters and offered at the Soul Obelisk to weaken the enemy Avatar — the core resource of the minigame.

  • OptionalPotion of power

A buff picked up during play, not something carried in from outside.

What your Zeal buys

Zeal Tokens pay out on every game regardless of the result — up to 40 on a loss, 60 on a win, 50 on a draw — and Nomad trades them for combat experience, equipment imbues, blighted items, and unique loot, plus an ammo-saving upgrade for Soul Wars capes. None of those rewards resolved to a specific catalogue card, so there's nothing to list beyond what Nomad's shop offers in general.

Which OSRS TCG cards are tied to Soul Wars?
Every item on this page that exists in the catalogue is linked to its card, grouped by what it is for. Cards are pulled from packs in the OSRS TCG RuneLite plugin, and you can trade for the ones you are missing on OSRS Card Exchange.
Is there an OSRS TCG card for Soul Wars itself?
No. The OSRS TCG has cards for Old School RuneScape's items and monsters, not for its minigames — so there is no "Soul Wars" card. What this page maps is the other way round: the items Soul Wars asks you to bring, each one linked to the card that depicts it.
