Old School RuneScape minigame · OSRS TCG card mapping

A combat minigame north-west of Yanille bank where players relive fights against bosses from quests they've already completed, in solo practice duels, endurance runs through every unlocked boss, or multi-player rumbles. Points earned inside buy reward-shop supplies and imbues for gear you already own.

Nightmare Zone is a members Old School RuneScape minigame needing Combat, found at Yanille. The short version: coins for the coffer. This page maps Nightmare Zone to the OSRS TCG — the card game played through the RuneLite plugin — listing what you take in, grouped by what each item is for, with every item linked to its card. The OSRS Wiki remains the guide to playing it.

Before you can take part

  • RequiresCombatNo level or single-quest gate. The real requirement is having completed any five of roughly three dozen quests that count toward Nightmare Zone; completing more of them unlocks more bosses. Combat matters only in that those bosses vary hugely in difficulty.

What it takes to walk in

Nightmare Zone gates on quests, not level or items: you must have completed at least five of roughly three dozen quests that have a boss fight, and each further one you finish adds another boss you can face inside. There is no combat-level requirement to enter — only the five-quest count — though the bosses themselves range from trivial to genuinely dangerous. The OSRS Wiki lists exactly which quests count.

  • RequiresCoins for the coffer

Deposited into Dominic Onion's coffer to pay the fee for whichever game mode you choose — practice, endurance or rumble, each pricier on Hard difficulty.

The bosses you can fight

Nightmare Zone lets you re-fight dozens of quest bosses, unlocked one by one as you complete the quests that introduced them — but only a handful of those bosses exist as their own card in the catalogue. None of these is a required kill; you pick who to fight from whatever you've unlocked.

  • OptionalCorsair Traitor

    Unlocked by The Corsair Curse.

  • OptionalGreen dragon

One of the lower-difficulty bosses available, popular for low-effort Slayer experience on task.

  • OptionalHellhound

Another of the more approachable bosses inside, also usable for Slayer experience on task.

Resources from the reward shop

Points buy raw supplies that are either exclusive to Nightmare Zone or just a convenient bulk purchase — bought separately, not as a set.

Items worth imbuing

You bring these in yourself — points buy an imbue that upgrades the item in place (marked with an (i) on the name), not a new item. These are the common imbue targets sold in the reward shop's Upgrades tab.

Potions for the fight

One consumable is sold for use only inside a dream, stored by the dose in barrels near the entrance.

  • OptionalAbsorption potions

Drunk in quick succession like combo food to soak damage during a fight — bought with points and usable only within Nightmare Zone.

Nightmare Zone — frequently asked

What is the minimum you need for Nightmare Zone?
Coins for the coffer, plus Combat.
Which OSRS TCG cards are tied to Nightmare Zone?
Every item on this page that exists in the catalogue is linked to its card, grouped by what it is for. Cards are pulled from packs in the OSRS TCG RuneLite plugin, and you can trade for the ones you are missing on OSRS Card Exchange.
Is there an OSRS TCG card for Nightmare Zone itself?
No. The OSRS TCG has cards for Old School RuneScape's items and monsters, not for its minigames — so there is no "Nightmare Zone" card. What this page maps is the other way round: the items Nightmare Zone asks you to bring, each one linked to the card that depicts it.
