Impetuous Impulses
MembersOld School RuneScape minigame · OSRS TCG card mapping
A Hunter minigame in the maze-like fields of Puro-Puro, where players push through magical wheat to net implings — imp-like creatures that carry stolen trinkets — and jar them for the Elnock Inquisitor.
Impetuous Impulses is a members Old School RuneScape minigame needing Hunter 17, found at Puro-Puro, entered through a crop circle — a fixed one in Zanaris, or a migratory one that appears around Gielinor. This page maps Impetuous Impulses to the OSRS TCG — the card game played through the RuneLite plugin — listing what you take in, grouped by what each item is for, with every item linked to its card. The OSRS Wiki remains the guide to playing it.

- RequiresHunter 17The entry level, and also the minimum to catch the lowest-tier impling. Higher Hunter is needed for higher-tier implings, up into the 70s and beyond for the rarest.
Getting to Puro-Puro
No quest is required — a migratory crop circle appears somewhere in the wild and always gets you in. Lost City unlocks a permanent portal on Zanaris instead of hunting for the migratory one, and partial completion of Fairytale II - Cure a Queen is recommended for fairy ring access, but neither is required to play.
What you need to catch anything
The Elnock Inquisitor hands over a starter kit on arrival, but here's what actually does the catching.
- Any ofA butterfly net
Worn to net an impling once it manifests. The magic butterfly net is the upgrade, bought later through Elnock's Exchange.
- RequiresAn empty impling jar
Holds whatever you net. Elnock gives seven to start; more come from trading in what you've caught, or from a shop purchase.
The implings you'll catch
Each species ends up as its own filled jar once you net it — not something you bring, but a card in its own right. The one exception, the crystal impling, only appears inside Prifddinas, not here.

- Baby impling jar
- orYoung impling jar
- orGourmet impling jar
- orEarth impling jar
- orEssence impling jar
- orEclectic impling jar
- orNature impling jar
Whichever species you net gets sealed into its own jar. Higher Hunter levels are needed for the rarer tiers, up to the rarest spawns found on the maze's two high-tier tiles.
What Elnock's Exchange buys
Trading filled jars back to the Elnock Inquisitor buys upgrades that make the next catch easier.
- Any ofCatching upgrades(optional)
Each traded for separately, for a different combination of filled jars — imp repellent and the magic net make catching easier, the jar generator saves buying empty jars, and the ring and potions are general convenience rather than impling-specific.

- Which OSRS TCG cards are tied to Impetuous Impulses?
